Ever feel like someone has your voodoo doll

Do any of you, ever feel like someone has your "voodoo doll"?

Someone takes a pin, and stabs the doll, where ever they wish, and ouch a stabbing pain.

Someone takes a lighter/match and places it near the doll, and you get a burning sensation.

Someone pinches the doll, anywhere, and you get numbness.

Someone takes the doll, spins it around, and oh my, you are now dizzy and feeling faint.

Someone takes an electrode and passes it over the doll, causing a tingling sensation.

Someone takes the doll, and squeezed the torso, causing MS hug.

Someone stands the doll upright, then knocks it down, causing you to lose balance and fall.

Someone places the doll, in the freezer, causing you to feel cold.

Well, you get the picture, do you feel like someone has your voodoo doll?

Such a silly idea occurred to me many years ago. Never would have thought of it had it not been for the silly cartoons I'd watched growing up. Then there are those Jamaican or New Orleans religion inspired horror movies...

Even if there were some enemy wishing evil upon your head, the promise of God  to the believer is that no such incantation or curse shall have any effect upon you. Fear not.

Let their curses be upon their own heads, or let them get delivered.

Ok, I'll fess up, i have a voo doo doll, a joke one though, you put tooth picks in it. I bought it in 2008 because i'd joked about being stuck with pins and needles, and any minute now an arm will fall off from all the pins sticking out of it and that will be the dr's Eureka moment. Maybe silly but it felt like i was taking back control, control of the unknown.

Its a symbol to me of the yet to be explained, its very tactile and i keep it on display, though i dont stick anything in it, i suppose because i dont believe in voo doo, to me its just silly looking and fits in with my sense of humor, i like it a lot.

Cheers........JJ

Yes!  Yes!  I would think so but no one dislikes me THAT much.  Maybe the neurologists wear white robes because it is white magic that is needed!

The irony is that we poke our own selves with needles to fight it off.  LOL

That's a very nice way of describing how the unpredictability of the symptoms feel...

I've never thought of it before, but yes, I do suppose that somebody has my voodoo doll. Hopefully my neurologist will believe in black magic and can undo the hex!!! ha
