Hi and welcome,
My brother is slightly younger than you are but he too is an alcoholic, he's already been dealing with chronic peripheral nerve damage for many years, it's the price he is unfortunately now paying for his years of alcoholism.
Alcoholism is a common cause of tremors, tremors are 'basically' caused by damage to parts of the brain that control the nerve signals to the different muscle groups. Depending on the medical condition that is causing the Tremor's, there generally isn't a cure, and only some medications have been found to help but from what i understand, unfortunately there isn't a medication that can reverse the damage the alcoholism has caused and will continue to cause.
I truly understand alcoholism isn't something you can stop overnight, logically it will be extremely difficult to get sober and stay sober, usually requiring consistent professional help but the simple truth is.......unless you actually deal with your alcoholism, there is little else that will help with your tremors, in the short and long term.
Cheers.........JJ
Please see a doctor as soon as possible. We are just patients here, dealing with Multiple Sclerosis or the possible diagnosis of same.
