severe pain

I suffer from severe pain everyday, its hard to function and some days I can't even get out of bed. I don't know if its related to my MS, Im on Lyrica, Cymbalta, Elevil and still get little relief.  My nuero also prescribes Oxycodone twice a day and it helps but only lasts a few hours, so I suffer the rest of the day.  How do I get help for my pain?

My MS Spcialist sent me to a pain clinic. They kept trying until the got me on the right mix for me. I have both nerve pain and muscle spasms. At first I had to try a lot of combinations until I found what works. I also used mindfulness meditation to help with my pain. There are free podcasts. I like a monk named Thicht Nhat Hahn. He makes things really simple.

Hi and welcome to our little MS community,

I would highly recommend you consider seeking help from a pain clinic, a few of our MSers have had difficulty dealing with chronic pain and unlike their neuro, the pain clinic worked out an individual treatment plan that actually worked very well for them.

Cheers.......JJ
