For the Ladies

For alll the ladies out there. I have had some issues with my menstrual cycle since my diagnosis.

I don't think it has to do with my MS but I thought I would ask your opinions.

For the past two years my cycle has been messed up and I just thought it. Was due to all the stress etc.

I was getting it every three or four months and for the past year, I have only had it once. Before all this MS nonsense I wwas regular and had it every month.

I just had an ultrasound both externally and internally to see if anything was going on.i haven't heard back in two weeks so I assume that nothing horrible was found or I woulld have heard. I am only 34 so it is a little early for menopause.

Just was wondering if anyone had some similar issues? Thanks in advance.

Thanks Karry : ) I forgot to mention that I had my blood tested as well for hormone levels etc. I see my GP every three months for my narcotic refill. I am seeing her next month and my neurologist in a week.

So I will be following up for sure. Thanks for your quickk response.

Off to my. Monthly infusion now.

Hi Barb,

I have found for me the IVSM aka steroids muck up my cycles and just when I get back to a normal pattern I have to have them again. Well that's my theory anyway.

There are so many reasons why you could be skipping periods and usually the ultrasound is just one test to exclude some potential problems. I would recommend you follow up with your GP regardless of the results from your ultrasound because they may need to do more tests.

Take Care,

Karry.
