Freezing cold leg

Hi, I'm new on here, I came across the forum when I googled 'freezing cold leg'. Almost 12 months ago I was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia, over the past couple of months I have been struggling to get out of bed in a morning because both my arms and legs are completely numb, have pins and needles and seem to be burning from the inside and just lately, my left leg is absolutely freezing cold, even though it has been in bed all night, I went to see my GP and he ordered numerous blood tests, so at the moment I am waiting on them. Does this sound like MS or am I worrying over nothing? xx

First of all welcome to our forums!

I must say worrying can really wear you down emotionally and it is a form of anxiety.  Everyone worries, we can't help ourselves -- BUT, please try to keep calm and know you're doing something about it by going to your doctor, letting him/her know of your issues and the GP did some blood tests.

Granted, you have reasons to feel anxious but wait until all of your blood tests come back and you can follow up with your primary care doctor or "GP" to go over the  results.  You can ask your GP what they feel that is causing your left leg feeling cold.  Is your leg actually cold to the touch or does it "feel" cold, yet warm to touch at the same time?

There's a difference.

First, let the blood results come back.  Normally that can take up to 3 days depending on the laboratory.  Sometimes earlier.  I would call the office on day 3 (post blood draw) and see if your results came in and ask to have the doctor call you back.  Have a pen and paper handy with questions that you may want to ask and write down what he says (what you can do).

Let us know.

Lisa

Hi and welcome.  You may be worrying about nothing, but those symptoms sound to me like there is someting real going on .  I am not all that familiar with the symptoms of fibromyalgia and the cold could possibly come from that?

I did have problems with parts of my body feeling extremely cold quite often when I was first diagnosed.  It pretty much stopped when I was on a drug therapy for my MS for a while, but still pops up every once in a while.

Be sure to talk this over with your doctor, ok?
