First Tysabri Infusion

Had my first Tysabri infusion this morning!  I wasn't sure it was ever going to happen, but it finally did!  The nurse had me take Tylenol and Benadryl.  Is that something you have to continue to do every time?  I don't mind, just wondering. So far I'm not having any issues, but it might be because I took the meds.

The nurse told me I might feel a few side effects today since it was my first one.  I woke up feeling just fine.  I like this club!

Getting that first infusion behind you is a big relief isn't it?  I know it was for me.

I remember I took a Claritin an hour before my infusion for the first few months, on the advice of several people who were already on Tysabri at the time, but haven't done that in eons and I have no problems with the infusions.  I get #47 next week.

Best of luck to you......

Yayy, Chris!

I love my Ty, and I don't take anything before my infusion, other than lots of fluids so that I'm easy to start an IV.  Well, welcome to the club!

usually they don't give anything unless you have a reaction to it.  perhaps something in your medical history caused them to be "cautious".  I know I had a rough first time and they put me on Decadron and now I have that before any infusion.

You made it!!!  Yeah !!!!  Now you get 28 days off!
