I have to agree with everything Lulu has already said, and from what you've described experiencing, i personally do not understand why MS is on your mind eg "my feet tingle but when i move them they stop" that is the description of the normal circularly response to temporarily inhibiting blood flow in lower limbs eg sitting for long periods etc.
You also say "i feel weak on my left side but no real weakness" i'm really not sure how that could relate to MS, i'm totally guessing what you mean but generally if there isn't any actual physical weakness, then i'm really not sure that it is the same as physically caused weakness associated with MS.
Be seriously about your level of anxiety, if you are on the net for hours and hours and you are just getting more and more freaked out about MS, then immediately stop the behaviour that is causing your anxiety to become fearful and seek medical help to get your anxiety under control.
Food for thought..............JJ
I also had a MRI done of the brain that came back normal.. It was no real numbness I could feel.. Yes on the net hours and hours..
Hi, Jonny56. Being freaked out is to be expected. There are so many things that could be causing your problem and the only way you will know for sure is if you see a doctor and get a referral to a neurologist to be evaluated.
You don't say if the foot numbness went away after a while or if it is still going on. Being a football player might be a clue - whether you mean American football or European soccer, football is a contact sport that incurs a lot of head injury. Concussions are not unusual And back injuries aren't rare, either. Either one of those could cause tingling and weakness.
I am going to take a wild guess and I think you have been investigating symptoms on the internet and every time you put in numbness and tingling, you get Multiple Sclerosis on the list. that is very common, too.
It is always possible you could have MS but you could have lots of other things. . But I'll humor you and say you have MS. That's not the worst thing that can happen and MS these days is a very different and treatable disease then it was even just 10-15 years ago. Yes, there is no cure but most of us continue to work, have a family, adjust our activities where necessary and manage to get on with living.
Please go to the doctors and have a neuro exam done. In the meantime you are more than welcome to come by here and ask all the questions you want.
be well, Laura
