Hi There,
Sorry I have been so quiet!! Have been enjoying some relapse free days!! So from my last post, it turns out the leg spasms and weakness was likely a relapse. This was back in early March. I was working alot on our new house and I think that and the fact that I was off medication for a few months (the switch from copaxone to rebif took a few months) resulted in the attack. When I went for my Drs appointment with the neuro in April, he noted some weakness on my left leg. Around may time the spasms went away and my leg started to feel like its normal self. It's not completely back to normal, but I can only tell in Karate. I just can't kick as high or fast with my left leg. Not such a great issue, I have my right leg ;).
So far things with rebif are going great, only side effect I have is site reactions. No flu like symptoms for me, I only get a headache if I don't drink enough water. We just got back from a trip to the UK, which was great!! Always nice to see family!!. I have noticed some numbness in my feet and some weakness/numbness in my left leg. So this got me thinking, is this a relapse? Should I call the Neuro? I'm going to see him in Oct to see how the rebif is coming along.
I figure, no I will not call the Neuro, but I will make a note of this possible relapse. My reasoning is that I know this is not bad enough for IV steriods (I went to karate last night, just took it slow.. funny I normally feel better after karate). Theres nothing the Neuro can really do other than confirm the relapse. Therefore I don't see a point in calling him but I will keep note of the attack.
What would you all do? What do you do if you have a relapse but it seems minor?
How are you all doing ??? :)
