Help for MS and Medicare patients
Hi all,
I just received some great stuff that's gonna help me a lot. I got 2 knee braces (my knees give way very easily), wrist and finger roll braces (wear for a little bit each day to help with hand and finger cramps), back brace (helps my posture and lower back), gel seat or back cushion, and a gel mattress pad for my bed.
I got all this stuff from a medicare equipment dealer. If interested in getting items that may help you, I have the number for Oklahoma residents. I'm sure every state has their own. DHS or my medicare Advantage program did not tell me about this but another lady with medical problems did.
She done a quick evaluation on me to see what may benefit me the most and then sent the prescriptions to my doctor for his approval, and then to medicare or a medicare advantage insurance. Last thing was an in home delivery and demonstration on how everything worked. The whole thing from evaluation to delivery took 3 weeks.
I've been up walking for almost 2 hours and my knees have not buckled at all. I'm standing and sitting straighter than I have in the last 5 years. It's awesome and to think that I had no clue I could get all of this stuff delivered to me in person in a matter of a few weeks.
If anyone is interested in this I would be glad to give more information. All this for no charge, it was free, free, free!!
