Why are my feet trying to kill me? I mousturize!

Hey guys!
I had the most wonderful night. Well, day AND night. It started around noon, when i asked the maid (ugh, i'm gonna sound so snobby, but in South America it's very usual t have one or two maids living in)
well, this woman has been in the family forever, and i asked her to make me some oatmeal. Nothing very fancy, a little sugar, fat free lactose free milk, a little cinnamon and probably a dash of arsenic!!
I got violently ill almost right away. I think i was in labor for hours, i was expecting a pelvic bone, a couple of ribs, a sternum, two sets of "feetses" and two knees. I go all out when i get sick. I took some "tummy drops" and that was ok, i kinda got used to the fact of every time i moved, a little liquid came out the way it came in, nothing very dramatic. Oh, and for those getting ready for lunch, i also had explosive diarrhea!! nah, not really, but yes, poop was involved. I wanted to make it a little more delicious.
Anyways, since i suffer from AS, i tried many, many meds, nothing worked, so i kinda gave up and the only thing i take is Tramadol for the pain. In DROPS. Yeah, i'm hardcore like that. Well, last noght something very weird happened. The tummy ache was kinda like under control, but sweet mother of Elvis! i had excrutiating pain in places i didn't know i even had! I had never felt so much pain in my pelvic pone (oh, i love the way it sounds... so dirrty)
Usually it's just a little pain in the joints, but my thighs were about to explode, the knees, everything from the wait down was about to kill me. (again, dirrty)
But the worst was the pain in the bottom of my feet. We're talking i was looking for a chainsaw to put me out of my misery, or someone to walk in and put Old Yeller to.. well, you know.
I was in a car accident a few days ago, because i had my first "Stevie Wonder" moment and crashed my "granma car" into a lighting post. My car didn't have airbags, and my sternum took quite a beating, but i have the feeling there's a couple of broken ribs there...
but the FEET!!! aaaarrrggghhh!!! why oh why the feet and shins wanted to kill me?? Risking the old "what comes in might come out the same way" i ended up having 30 drops of Tramadol (10mg). and NOTHING!! i kept on drifting in and out of consciousness (again, oh, the drama) and every time i woke up, something else hurt. But my feet, why oh why?? i moisturize, i treat them right, i luvs mah feetses. But not anymore! i swear if tonight i have the same problem, it's "Saw Time".
Somebody heeeeellllllllllppp!!!
Ok, i woke up dramatic. I had a bad night. Gimme a break.
hugs!
Farrah

I expect most of your problems are due to the accident a couple of days ago.  I have some recurring foot pain that makes it feel like my feet are broken!  It comes and goes without warning.  Just another one of my MS symptoms, I guess.

mmm... biker books... sounds good. I was thinking something like a chainsaw, but Wish is right, what a mess.
I got tired of trying meds for my AS. I dance for my cats and i'm a slob, sorry to admit it. I have a great excercise machine, but works with weights and Dr said no, no, no!
I also have a bike in front of the tv, i never use the bike, i love using the tv.
I also have, well.... don't laugh.. an ABLounge! as seen on tv! it's really good, i have pretty hard rock abs and when my back is bugging me, i just lean back and it stretches all the way until i'm almost upside-down. Those people should pay me. My mom is a serious As-Seen-on-TV shopper. I guess because infommercials come at night when she's about to fall asleep... subliminal messages!

I'm glad hubby is doing ok. Hope your day is getting better!

What kind of physical therapy do you do for the AS?  I swim for my joints, it feels so good being weightless.....  But then again I can't get my team of Dr's to agree on anything... So I have been doing my own thing and getting into lots of trouble!!!  hehehe, not really....

Yeah the hubbys accident was last year, he's doing good but it was pretty painful for him.

Now what do we want to use to chop our feet off?  I have some awesome biker books that I haven't worn for over a year, pretty daring......hehehe

Love,

Ada

you're right! the next night i slept like a baby! the sternum is still a little stiff, but since i also suffer from Spondylitis, that's sooooo not news.*yawn* my ribcage is fusing, why am i wondering about the pain?

And it's a deal. We'll chop off each other feetses. Then we can exchange shoes and if we don't have the same shoe size, we'll just exchange feet. Wish can come and clean up the mess.

Is hubby doing ok? i hope you're talking about a very ooooold accident and that he's fine.
Hope you're having a great day!

Hiya Sweetie!!!  I know what you mean by them feet....  I have the nice stabbing, burning, wish I had a tree chipper feeling.  Can we make a pact, I'll cut yours off, if you cut mine.....????  hehehe

Your body sounds like it finally gave in to the stress of the car accident.  When my husband rolled his truck, the seatbelt broke his sternum and some ribs...  He refused pain killers and he was really miserable by the second or third day.  It s-u-c-k-s for sure and I am so sorry it happened.

Your ((((Naughty)))) Friend,

yeah, naughty people! my kinda people, tho.
I take tramadol in drops, that's why it's only 10mg . The pills take too much time to "release" in my stomach.
I didn't chop off the feetses, i though exactly the same you were saying "oh man, now i'm gonna have to clean up this mess, bring out the Oxy to clean the blood and now i'll be limping everywhere.."
Lyrica works for me. And helps me go to sleep. The Tramadol i take is enough.
Things will turn out for the better for everyone! and congrats on the new job! go, they'll love the Dr House feeling you have.

Naughty that no-one has answered you.

I have nothing really to say except symptathize.

10mg tramadol?  What?  I thought the minimum dose was 50mg, or are you talking about some other form.

Don't cut your feet off.  You will have to clear up afterwards and it is very hard work.

What pain relief do you take?  It sounds like whatever it is it is not working.  I have now foot pain myself amongst other stuff and they recently swelled up like melons.  None of my shoes fitted.  They've gone down again now.  Still trying to get an appointment with a rheumatologist, not to mention the SLE unit...will not rant.

I'm having a steroid injection in my leg in a few weeks to numb it up for the pain.  Just worried that if I can't feel my leg after will make me a bit of a liability when I start work.  As if they'll keep a ****-eyed, diplopic, limping, cane using, personality disordered (I hope not) narcotic addicted (physically dependant maybe, NOT addicted) lass anyway.  Wondering whether to bother even turning up first day.  But who knows, it may be exactly the credentials they are looking for.  They did hire me after all.

Life is not turning out how I planned, for any of us I think.  Feel better soon.
