I am having a melt down

I will start with a quick update.  Since I have posted my last post I have had a full spinal MRI on a 1.5T.  ( the radiologist was a total jerk when I asked what magnet was in the machine)  They ordered this because I was falling.  Since then I have had burning sensation and sharp like pains that feel like nerves bursting thats quite painful and muscle spasms have started to move my finger. (very creepy)  Well I went to my hair dresser tonight and she told me my hair is FALLING OUT!  I thought I was noticing it getting thin, but I'm only 25! Non of my family has hair loss issues! all sets of grandparents and parents don't even have receeding hairlines.  Could this just be from stress with all the medical procedures and pain?!  They did a full blood work up and I don't have thyroid or any other problems the only blood work that came back positive was my ANA 1:160 and my Anti-Gaga MSdx.  The only medications that I take religious are my baclofen, meclazine (sp), xopenex inhaler, and ventolin inhaler.  However, I did just have solumedrol treatment.  They wanted to put me on Topomax for my head aches, but now I'm frightened!  They also said they are most likely going to start me on Avonex.  I am just plain freaking out and panicked!  I feel like this is just one thing I can't stomach very well like the other stuff I deal with ( numbness, tingling, burning sensation, cluster head aches, muscle spasms, fatigue, etc....) I just don't even know what to do right now I can't lose my HAIR! Thanks for listening to my rant.

Thanks for your support Tammy! :) I am really hoping that this is just from stress.  Lets face it dealing with these types of neurological disease and symptoms along with the testing involved is stressful.  Not to mention all of the other stressers in life.  And you are totally right on the fact that I don't have to take medications that I don't want to.  I do not think I will be taking Topomax, but I do want to go on a DMD.  We are going to discuss them on Tuesday.  Thank you sooooo much for your support it really means alot!

First off, they can't force you to take Avonex or any other med!   As for the hair loss, I've read that can be a side effect of many of the meds we take.  In my case, it's hormonal, but for you- it may well be stress.  In that case, it will probably come back.  I recommend reading up on the CRAB drugs, and tell you doctor which one you want to start. I hope you feel better soon.  It sounds like your stress levels are out of control.
It also sounds like the radiologist needs to learn better people skills!
I wish I could be of more help.
