I am at a stand still, Can you help me?

Is it possible to diagnose MS while having a previous diagnosis of Fibro Myalgea and neuropathy?0Sorry about the spelling, can't quite connect the dots today. I have had neurologist diagnose me with Fibro & neuropathy.  She insisted that because she couldn't find a lesion in my brain it couldn't possibly be MS. Since that appointment (which destroyed me)  I have made several alternative appointments, Optometrist, Physical therapists, Massage therapy, & a Chiropractor, all of which advised me to pursue an MS diagnosis with out knowing I had been down that road.  I have researched almost every day and looked for an alternative answer, I can't find one.  Should I pursue another MRI with a different Neurologist or pursue a spinal tap?

I understand your frustration.   I have been told by 4 other neurologist I had neuropathy all these years.  As my symptoms multiplied I went to another neurologist.  He did EMG which was normal and a nerve biopsy which showed no neuropathy.   My last neurologist just kept increasing my neurontin to 1600mg 4 times daily.  Since I have backed off to 400mg twice daily and see no difference.  Just hang in there and be your own advocate.

Hey I understand your frustration. Was this Neurologist a MS Specialist? Neurologists Specialize. Many know little about MS. I am not saying you have MS. MS is a complicated diagnosis of excluding all other possibilities. I was sent to a Neurologist by my Doctor he was looking fo something else and found MS.

He was leaving his practice and sent me to another Neurologist who was mostly a headache Specialist. Four Neurologists had looked at my original MRI and saw what they thought was MS along with my history. She looked at it and proclaimed you do not have MS. Luckily she said I did not have to come back.

My PCP then sent me to a MS Specialist. It took a year or more but he diagnosed me with MS. He started from the beginning.

Go with your gut until you get an answer you are satisfied with. It took me a bunch of Neurologists and lots of tests until I got an answer.

No test rules MS in or out unfortunately. All my MRIs and LPs, Veps, etc. were indicative of MS. For others those tests come up clean.
