what does the demyelination in my left eye mean?

I was put in the hospital in July because i had severe pain that started in my right thigh and began migrating down my leg and into other parts of my body. By the time that I broke down and went to the Hospital I could barely walk.  Both of my legs felt as though they werent mine. The pain was immense. they done every test known to man for MS and they all came back normal. I left the hospital with no diagnosis and referral to a neurologist for an EMG. I went for the EMG and only felt the needle a couple times, but the test supposedly came back normal.

My symptoms that I experience everyday include:
blurred vision
Headaches in a specific spot
dizziness
weakness in my right arm
decreased sensation over the entire body.
Pain that migrates up and down  entire body
        Nerve pain- all kinds
        Muscle spasms and cramps
        Muscle tightness
Balance issues
a near constant buzzing feeling in my legs
tremors- hands mostly but legs jump in there occasionally
fatigue- sometimes severe
tingling and numbness- not too bad but aggrevating
Muscle twitches all over and every day
constipation
I cant focus half the time and I get confused sometimes.
I recently started blurring words together

I experience this cluster every single day and the neurologist i saw for the EMG had me come back to see his Nurse practioner who after almost a year since my last test of any kind (with evidence that symptoms are worsening and new symptoms) tells me that there is nothng they can do for me and I need a second opinion. I strongly agreed with her on that and tried to set that up. the neurologist that i was referred to for the second opinion refused to take me and gave no reason. So i am not sure what to do.

I have the report from the optometrist showing the demyelination and thats it. the test were done almost a year ago were all normal and so was all the blood work. I am sick of fighting this mess but I gotta know what it is. It has ruined my life. I am thinking of going to the mayo clinic and giving them a go at it. but I am afraid they wont get the evidence or something and i will be right where I am at now. LIVING IN HELL with no clue.

What do I do now?

They have done a full metabolic panel and tested all of that stuff. Checked heavy metals and a whole hosts of tests for diseases detectable in the blood. Checked lyme a few times. I have been tested more than most lab rats. The general consensus with my primary has been MS or CIDP. If there is a test he has done it. The one thing we know for certain is it is neurological and that's it. My reflexes are also gone. Took them about 6 months to leave, but they are gone now.

Its really hard, cause I love the outdoors and running. Since this mess, I am barely able to get out and go. I still go though.

I will go for a while and my symptoms aren't horrible, but then it comes on and I feel like I'm under attack. They all seem to be magnified and the last time I was left with fatigue for a new normal. I haven't been having trouble with that but it doesn't seem to be going anywhere.

Thanks for the welcomes and
replies. I will try to keep you all in the loop.

I'll chime in with some encouragement to ask your gp about a full vitamin and mineral panel (bloodwork). In particular, make sure B12, D and magnesium are evaluated.  Some of your all over symptoms could actually be due to a magnesium deficiency, in particular twitching, muscle spasms and cramps, buzzing and even constipation.

The blood serum magnesium test is not particularly accurate, so even if it comes back normal, supplements may help.  Give it a few months, breathe, engage in life and see whether things improve.

I had body wide twitching and fasciulations even with supplementing a low amount of magnesium -- but was advised to increase and now I only have issues when I forget the supplements.

Once you have addressed deficiencies, you and your doctor will be able to figure out what is left and it may provide a clearer picture.

Hi and welcome,

Something is definitely wrong but i don't think MS would be the most likely explanation because within your symptom list you mention experiencing a few different symptoms that have an 'all over the body' symptom pattern, which are typical red flags and point away from neurological conditions like MS eg
-decreased sensation over the entire body,
-Pain that migrates up and down  entire body,
-Nerve pain- all kinds
-Muscle spasms and cramps
-Muscle tightness ,
-Muscle twitches all over and every day

I would suggest you speak to your primary physician and ask for advice on what you should do and ask him/her if there are any other tests you haven't had that he thinks you need to help work out what is causing this.

Sorry i couldn't be of more help.........JJ
