Ligaments in Chest creaking??

Hello. I am diagnosed with CIS/MS. I had one exacerbation in 8/2012. Nothing since. I noticed it is hard for me to take full deep breaths from time to time. I also have sore muscles in my chest, the soreness moves around. I also have what sounds like bones cracking when i do take deep breaths, but i know it"s the ligaments. Is this "the hug" or something else?

Hi. Gabapentin is not a med for spacticity, but in MS for neuropathic pain. There are several spacticity meds available that do work for many people.

Thanks. It has been going on for 3 weeks now. Its scary and annoying not to be able to take a deep breath all the time.I was given Gabapentin for spasticity. Not sure how i will react to it. Fingers crossed.

I get diaphragm spasms and some are so strong they have pulled the ligaments attached to my ribs. I take fast acting valium when I get the spasms. They feel like I am having the wind knocked out of me. In my case it may or may not be MS. What is important is if I treat it. I get them if I over exert. Run across a street in traffic, work in the yard, ride horses.
