Difficulty with swallowing should definitely go in your diary. if it lasts for more than a couple days a phone call to your specialist is warranted too!
Be well,
Lulu
I keep a diary of my symptoms but now I find the diary is so large.. I'm going to have to shorten it somehow..
I sometimes feel like I have to make myself swallow...it doesn't happen all the time..just will have a few days where it's difficult to swallow...even when I'm not eating or drinking..it's like my throat get numb??
I should write this down too..
take care

I have just begun to keep a diary of my symptoms. I have just recently started to make the connection that some of the symptoms that I have over the last 2 or 3 years - could be related. So I find myself trying to remember when the symptom began or how...but, I am trying to keep track.
My serious symstoms started with my hands, at the time I didn't know that.. I thought it was because of all the key punch & typing I did day in and day out..
It's importanrt that you let your Dr. know everything... Some times it's hard to remember when something started so I kept a recorded... This was because it moved so fast.. But everyone is different... They say there are no two MS cases that are the same.. I believe this... Guess you could say, there is NO Normal when it comes to MS...No wonder I fit right in, I have never been consider Normal... I don't know what that is...
Have a lovely day....HOTW...ShadowsSister
Yup, that's common with me. My right hand is weak and frequently doesn't do what I tell it. I drop a lot of stuff - hairbrushes, pens, forks, etc.
I've gotten in the habit of giving the heavy work to my left hand, because I know it can handle it, and the fine detail work goes to my right. And I make sure to wash dishes with both hands holding on to the dish!
Well, it is the first time I noticed something like that. I have been numb and clumsy for awhile, but I just kept trying to pick up the bagel, and somehow I just couldn't do it. Hard to explain, I finally picked it up by using my index finger and thumb like pincers. Wish I could describe it better...

I am curious - when you say "I couldn't get my hand to do what my brain was telling it to" what do you mean by that? I have for at least a year been randomly experiencing something similar, but hadn't ever really thought about it possibly being related to the other symptoms I am having....I occaisionally will not be able to double click quickly enough on my mouse - It's almost like I have to think really hard to get my hand to do it sometimes. Your problem makes me wonder now if it isn't related somehow...thanks for sharing!! It is amazing how little things can add up....
Trust me..the way things are happening so fast, I have already made an appointment with my PCP to get a referral to an MS Center in the Portland area. Gotta get all the tests and MRIs etc. transferred ASAP because the doctors look at everything themselves. I betcha I'll have that reflex on the bottom of my foot checked this time! More and more I'm betting on Primary progressive MS. Who knows? You and all the information on this sight may have extended my life.

How scary!
I know that fear. With my legs. I'm sorry.
Hang tight!
Feel better,

I hope so too honey and I am rather skeptical about your 9 lesion doctor...please keep in mind all the comments made about this by our members ok...if you feel like things are not moving fast enough you may have to find someone new ok?
Lots of Hugs,
