Muscle Spasms in eye muscles

I had this symptom begin last Thursday, I woke up with it, and it has been occurring more frequently, usually the more tired/exhausted I get.
I have a muscle spasm, in the muscle just below my left eye. I have been blessed to not have had optic neuritis, at least to this point.
Have any of you, had this type of facial muscle spasm?  Is it very common?

Thank you for your time, consideration, and cooperation, I truly appreciate it.

I think prolong ipad/computer usage may attribute!
As well as cell phone next to head may also attribute!.
Latelty random anywhere!
Mostly right side head between eye and temple is high twitch location.
Close eye and rest it for as long as you can keep it closed.
An eyepatch will force rest but should problably be used under a doctors care.

Spasms or twitches?  I get twitches all the time in my facial muscles, but I haven't had any tense up and decide to stay there.

However, I would say it's pretty common.  MS attacks the nerves of the head more than other parts of the body, which is why so many MS sufferers have trigeminal neuralgia and optic neuritis.

I get an eye twitch frequently.  When I was in the process of a dx a twitch below my right eye lasted for 5 months and was pretty much constant.

All of my Dr's said it was stress.  Now I get them in both eyes at random times with no rhyme or reason I can think of.

I hope you get some relief soon

Yes I have had muscle spasms in my left eye, and they normally occur when I am also experiencing some nerve symptoms in that side of my face.

Yesterday I was having an MRI scan and I was particularly aware of the eye twitching when I was supposed to be keeping absolutely still and there was nothing I could do about it!. Hopefully it did not affect the results of all that stuff inside my head!

Anyhow I have had no other visual symjptoms although I had an abnormal VEP.

Cheers for now
