Thank you all for the insight ... I really can't guess weather mine is ms related or spine
I don't know what to hope for they both sound bad to me lol
I have had this for at least 4-5 years maybe longer but I can't remember if it was there before that. Could have came along with my neck thing in 2008.
I just hope that whatever comes out of my MRI of neck I can get help and a possible fix ... I am hoping for something like carrieblackwell!!! Thanks Carrie!! :)
Don't get me wrong, it could be due to MS, I was just giving you something to try because I had the same thing and it turned out not to be due to the MS. I hope these symptoms resolve soon and I'm sorry for you others whom it is a symptom and has been sticking around. Hugs to all of you!
Hello
I get the fingers and toes tingling and numbness all the time since being recently diagnosed with RRMS..
It can happen any time of the day even when i'm resting and just dissapear as quick too.. Doesn't matter what i'm doing it can just appear..
I sometimes get a cold/wet feeling on the bottom of my foot when i first get out of bed i thought at first i had stepped in something wet but i hadn't then the feeling goes up my leg..it will dissapear after about 10 mins when i'm walking around.
When i mentioned this to my Neurologist he said it is to do with MS and that i have inflamation on my spinal cord..
Hope this has helped with your question and that you are not alone..
Kerry
My hands and feet have felt weird for years now, 24/7 without a break, because of MS. I have several c-spine lesions to blame. My left hand is worst, to the point of being painful, whereas my feet and my right hand are more numb and strange feeling. Dull things feel sharp, sharp things feel dull, Gabapentin and nortriptyline take a slight edge off the pain; nothing relieves the numbness. Tepid baths help to temporarily distract from these sensations, that's about the best relief I've found. It's my most relentless MS symptom.
I was having the same thing with my hand, same fingers to the elbow, everything except it was pain and tingling and my neuro said it sounded more like irritation or inflammation (can't remember which) of the ulnar nerve and that I was probably sleeping on or with my arms bent at the elbow (since I don't work on a computer).
Anyhow, I don't sleep like that and was irritated at her and then I realized that it was from feeding my baby! She suggested a brace at night to keep it straight (for a week or so) but I just changed feeding positions and was more mindful of keeping it bent for prolonged periods for awhile. It did go away and I guess that's what it was, not the MS.
It's something you can try anyway in the mean time, I hope that's all it is and it's an easy fix. I put up with it for over a month and doing what I did made it better in less than a week. It will still tingle a little if I lean on my bent arm for a long time for instance.
