Thanks for the info I have to leave for work now but I will ck out the web site when I get off today. It was really weird, but I felt sure that it had something to do with everything else that was going on. Well off to work, 7 more days of school and then much needed time off. Maybe then I can keep up with forum better.
Thanks,
lala

Hello LaLa. I like your name too.
While I have not experienced the tongue curve as you described, I do know that sticking out your tongue is part of a neurological exam. The doc is looking for deviations like you had, an abnormal position or overly-relaxed tongue. I think this is a test of one of the cranial nerves. I don't know which cranial nerve controls the tongue or the significance of it. I would think it safe to say that you are probably having a dysfunction in the cranial nerve that controls the tongue. They also have you smile big, showing all of your teeth, lifting the lips off the gums. This always makes me crack up as I feel like a monkey and probably look like one too.
If you google "neurological examination" you can learn more about this. They even have videos.
You have had two episodes of optic neuritis and later had curvature of the tongue. I strongly suggest you see a neurologist. You may never have this symptom again but it is always a good idea to have a neurologist check it out.
Good luck to you.
Hi Lala,
