Neurology Now

Hi all,

I received my first complimentary copy of Neurology Now in the mail Saturday.  I am favorably impressed with this magazine's content - the November/December issue includes infromation on DNA testing, MG and Drug Plans as well as MS.

The magazine is published by the American Academy of Neurology and is free to any patients with neurological disorders and their families and caregivers.  You can subscribe online at NeurlogyNow.com or call 800-422-2681.

It appears that the cost of this magazine is underwritten by advertising by the DMD manufacturers - as if this is an edition slanted particularly to MS patients.  But in between all the ads there are some really good articles written in easy to understand language on a wide variety of neurological topics.

I Love freebies,
Lulu

PS they list the regular subscription price as $19/year.

Also, if you want to look at back issues they are available on line - and our non-US members can read the magazine there too.

Thanks as well!  Ordered my free subscription a few minutes ago.  They're probably wondering what caused the surge in orders!!!  lol.  Merry Christmas to all.

You can go to the area to the right of the "member's question" and look for the 3 "A's" and select the size of the font there.  You can also use your keyboard for increasing the size of your screen, by using the "Control" and "Plus" key, hitting them once each time you want to increase the size.  You minimize the screen back down to normal, by using the Control key and the Minus Key.

This has been very helpful to me since my vision issues can come and go.  I use it as I need it.

Hope this helps, dearheart,
Heather

Saveone,
Getting it delivered to your mailbox is much easier than going to the neuro every other month!  I'm glad to hear you also found it worthwhile.  - Lulu

Julie - you'll be back there this week, right?  Just pick one up then.

Wobbly, I looked before I posted this to see about Canadian readers and didn't find anything one way or another.  Give it a try.

I saw free copies of this magazine in the neurology clinic this morning.  My daughter asked if I wanted one and I turned it down because I was already carrying so much information and booklets that the nurse gave me.  Geez, now  I wish I did pick it up.  Thanks for the information on how to subscribe.

I had read this magazine at the neuro's office. I had no idea you could get a subscription for free.  I went on line and subscribed.  Thanks for the info.
