I am still alive !!!

Hi guys, so sorry that it has been so long since I have been on.  Lost a dear friend after a 15 year fight just a couple of weeks ago, and I am not feeling well at all.

Do any of you remember me asking about the rash on my face ?  Well, I did see a Rheumatologist yesterday, and she says " I am an unusual case" , getting sick of this, went through that with every doctor for the MS dx , well, my face has gotten worse, and yesterday, it was actually swollen under my eyes, and was so itchy and hot that I was become quite b*tchy..... and that is not me.

This morning I woke up, and the red is still there, and some itching, I'm afraid to touch my face / or neck, anyways, it seems so tight, that it is hard to talk, and it does not seem like skin when I touch it, it seems more like leather.

Just wondering if anyone else has this kind of problems ?  I did get a lung x-ray, and more blood work, so we are to be seeing a dermatologist at some point too, but apparently that will take a long while.

I do see my Neurologist on Thurs. next week, so maybe she will be able to have some suggestions too, or tests, I'm getting quite concerned though.

I have so much to do in this month, and no energy, and a very high stress level right now.

Asking for those who pray, please think of me.....

thanks,
((HUGS))

Here's hoping you find the strength to do what needs to be done... so sorry for your loss. I'm sure tge rheumy tested your ANA for lupus but if not it's a thought.  Other thing you might want to try is an elimination diet to see if you're newly allergic to a food... just a few things that came to mind... Hope you find the answers you seek soon!!

thank you guys, Poppy, I do think that a relapse is in the works, see Neuro on Thursday, and can bounce some stuff off of her ( not literally, but, well, maybe LOL)

I am trying just to get through the day without yelling at everyone because I'm so miserable with this itching.  Talked to a pharmacist yesterday, and showed her what we are dealing with, and she said to take a 24 hr. antihistamine, and on top of that if it gets to bad, take a shorter acting Benadryl ... also, bought some Aveeno with feverfew calming cream with SPF 30 for my face and neck, cause I do believe that the sun did make it worse, so was glad to see some clouds today and a little rain.

Got, so much to do, don't have time to be unwell.  But, really, WHO DOES, so, I'm trying to buck up, and get painting and such for the suite I have to rent again.... it never ends..

Hope you all are doing well, and Nice to meet you yousyou8, don't think we have had the pleasure, and I'm sure poppy and I have though, but if I'm wrong, nice to see you too Poppy..

I know you've probably been through all this, but have you changed anything in your environment - washing powders, makeup, foods, etc?  Have you increased your consumption of something?  If you're on a DMD, has the formulation of this been changed??

If you're into natural medicine and all that etc, the belief is that the skin manifests ailments/irritations on the inside so perhaps something is upsetting your system that didn't use to.

I'll throw another outside the box thought in here, but have you had a relapse recently??  I have this really weird thing where when I have what looks like an MS episode, afterwards I react to something I've never reacted to before.  So far it's been hazelnuts, peanuts, eggs, potatoes, and sesame seeds.  After a couple of months I'm fine with these foods again.

Maybe none of this will be any help but it might spark a thought.  :-)

Best wishes

Poppy

Sorry about the rash. I hope they figure it out.

Did they try steroids?
