We've had several do this in our household. It's hard to say if this could be your problem or not, but if it keeps happening, it could be..processor, graphics card, or hard drive. The worse case scenario would be your mother board going bad. As a precaution, I would backup any pics or documents that you want saved..just in case :) When I had this recently happen, my processor went out..it was shutting down, slow, clicking unexpectedly, and programs were crashing or slow.
My son and I have built several computers, and we've troubleshooted some broken ones before. We have extra parts, and have fixed many of our own computers.
Thanks! I'm running! hope it stays that way!
I'll def. call about the boost! Never thought of that.
Frank I've heard so much good about those apples, brag away!
I'm good and protected, but you never know! Thanks for all the tips!
get it fixed soon ,,,,,,,,,,,, we need you here!
Hi sunshine :)
I just got off the phone with my internet provider logged on and found your post - good timing!
I am back up and running faster than it's been in a long time (the computer, not me) We had a big power outage due to 3 tornadoes blowing through the area on Saturday and even though it came back up I guess it needed a little boost from the home base people.
If your computer keeps it up maybe you need a boost to so make the call
Hugs,
Erin :)
I don't want to brag, however here I go.
I lost so many hard drives (dell & h.p.) over the years & PC'S crashing I switched 3 years ago to Apple. Its gets better I never had a crash or freeze, I'm still learning but I would never go back to a PC..
I know it will happen to this Apple one day, so I'm going to do an online back up.
John...
Sounds like it's time to reformat the hard drive! Or you might have some spyware in the system - when there's spyware, it sits there in the background, sending information to its server and slowign you down. Do you have an anti-virus program?
