Optic Neuritis? Sinuses?

Hello All!  I am currently suffering from what I believe to be a sinus infection.  I am a little concerned because I have noticed that if I roll my left eye too far up or to the sides it feels like I have a strained muscle above my eye.  This all started about a week ago.  There has been no impaired vision, nor does it hurt when I don't look to far in any direction.  I have an appt with my opthalmalogist on Monday but wanted to get some thoughts from some of you in the mean time.  Does it sound at all like ON?  Have any of you had sinus issues that causes eye pain?  As of February, I have one lesion on my spinal cord and have another MRI next month.  All feedback welcomed!!  Thanks!!

I just finished reading a couple of online articles about optic neuritis (Wikipedia and eMedicine, I think), and I saw that a relatively uncommon origin is from a sinus infection.  I've had eye pain, and I've had sinus issues, but I've not observed any correlation.  I'll keep an eye out in case I do.

Hi JJJ,
i have no experience with ON - at least nothing that has bothered me or found by my doctor with routine checkup. I can't answer your question  - hopefully someone else here can provide some clues.

you're welcome,
Lulu
