I asked my ENT a few months ago if tinnitus can be caused by MS and she told me that it is certainly possible that MS could be contributing to a "garden vairety" of tinnitus. My neuro said basically the same thing, but that there are so many other causes that are probably more likely.
You do eventually get used to it, but I wish there were something they could do about it besides masking the sounds. Maybe someday they'll come up with something.

Ringing in the ears is such a common complaint among the general population, especially as we get older. I don't know if it's possible to say it's caused by MS.
From what I've read, there's not much available in the way of treatment, but I'm hoping others know more about this than I do.
I've had some problems with my left ear, nowhere near what others go through, so I can't complain, really. I've also, from time to time, felt or heard what seems like a kind of clicking in that ear. Maybe like microscopic dice being shaken, or like a couple of dry grains of rice in an empty salt shaker. Very odd, but not otherwise bothersome.
