You'll have to look into the Long Riders Guild while your zippers and gadgets are settling into place Alex 'cause it sounds like Clara took you on one crazy looooooong ride. (Yes! I am serious and it does so exist.)
Of course you already know that body slings exist. You just have to be one very sick horse type of animal to get one. You obviously don't qualify because you remain standing (ok, wobbling) in an upright position all by yourself even though every fiber of your being is begging you to lie down and rest. Might I add that you haven't even mentioned hoof pain?
Umm, what was I thinking? Body slings do exist for people! In fact, they are so common that about half the adult population is forced to use one daily. Need I mention this would be the half who is female? Yuck.
I guess this means there are two of us now with permanent devices tucked inside new made-to-order shoulder pockets. Mine (a pacemaker) was uncomfortable at first but it's finally becoming one with me now. I bet your shoulder is screaming louder about diaphragm manipulation. It's my understanding that most diaphragm complaints are voiced via C.C.SORP - your local Shoulder Office for Referred Pain, acting under the authority and design of Command Central.
I thought there for a minute it was the piercing of your youth that bought only six days of groovy attention. I actually thought that was a little sad. Now that I realize an entire zipper wasn't worth more than that I'm hoping the forum family has been able to extend your groovy an extra day.
Licks to you and your four-leggeds.
Mary
(((Alex))),

Hey Alex,
Hang in there babe, but if your needing a distraction in the wee hours, i'll keep an eye out for you. Fair warning though, i tell really bad jokes in the wee hours, just ask Dennis ;o) Still thinking of you!!
HUGS.............JJ
Thanks everyone I can assure you that since surgery I have not had more than two hours sleep. I am just too uncomfortable. Standing is the best position. In the future they will rig slings for this sort of thing. I have this permanent device in my shoulder, am bloated and having breathing problems..
Thanks for the thoughts.
Alex
So good to hear from you, Alex. Thanks for checking in, tired and all. I don't believe the one above has these things in mind for any of us. It's just a bit of the imperfection in how we're designed we need to put up with. Get well soon and rest easy.
Alex,
Amazing you are!
The Lord still has big plans for you.He will carry you thru this!
Keeping you lifted in prayer and for continued recovery and strength for what is still ahead.
Gentle hugs and many blessings,
Tammy:)
