Rebif Shots

So I've been injecting myself in the stomach since July.  It *****, but it's do-able!  The Dr. wants me to rotate my sites more, so I tried my thigh-OWWWWWWWWWWWWW!  I went back to my stomach.  Sunday night I decided to try my butt-TRIPLE OWWWWWWWWWWWW!  I can only imagine that it was the same feeling as if I had been stabbed in the back.  What am I to do?  Will it really kill my tissues if I only inject in my stomach?  They really need to come up with a digestible medication for this!

Hi Contrary,

Welcome. Well, I found comfort in my stomach too.  However, the spot they show on the literature ref. the butt (a little higher) is actually off.

I'm going to try to describe the spot, because it's just as good as the stomach and you NEED to rotate! It's important for your skin. Yes, you will get indentations and tissue damage.

Take your hand and place it directly on the cheek of your butt. You doing it?
Slide it straight up until you get toward your hip.  Then, slide your hand over toward the right (if you grabbed your cheek w/your right hand - lol) this is what most call - love handles.

This is it, it's the spot! Promise! Grab that skin and inject there.  Helpful to have someone else do that spot. Even those who don't have much meat will find this spot very doable.

What do you think, willing to take a stab at it?

Shame not all describe this spot properly.  I just happen to have gotten very lucky with the best of nurses who filled me in on that tid bit, and thankfully she showed it to me.  She was spot on w/her info, always.

ttys,
