Rheumatoid arthritis and MS

Does anyone know if these two diseases are related?  I was diagnosed with RA 1 year ago and now am going through the process of being diagnosed with MS.

RA and MS are both autoimmune diseases but they are not linked.  They share a lot of common traits and symtoms though.  I went looking and found an interesting article from the NIH - you can read this piece at
http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/10327497

One thing to keep in mind is it is always possible to have more than one disorder going on at any given time in our bodies.  Having MS does not make us immune from having other diseases.

Sorry to hear health problems are hitting you twice!
