Shout-out for our old-timers.

Where are all those familiar faces I saw when I first came here about three years ago?  This was quite the dynamic place with lots of great medical information being shared from the experienced MSers who regularly hung out here?

I'm just wondering if you are lurking or have you moved on?  I would love to converse with you again about all things MS and more.

To you newer people,  we had an unbelievable cast of characters who could answer anything thrown at them, plus some.

They were also tough and didn't mince words - they always called it straight.   But best of all they were medically correct in everything they said, and on the rare ocassion they weren't, someone would call them on it and get it right.

So if you are out there reading this, how about you check in and let us know how you are doing and consider rejoining the conversation.

hugs to all,
Lulu

I think Elaine left because she was upset about something.

That's just it, I think allot of people have 'things' come up in their lives and have to bow out for a while.  I just hope they eventually come back

almost 2 months since i got out of the hospital and still no foot brace. VA finally decided who (which doc) was to take care of that. (dumb me thought a neuro would). nope, that has to come from pcp. hope to get fitted for it soon. weird tripping over that one dropped foot

I'm still around, too.  Life has been busy, and I am just not able to fit MS into my schedule (read that with a slight touch of sarcasm).  I have noticed that my thoughts are not as consumed by MS, as they once were . . . it's a much better place :)

Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend.

Being a member of many different boards (political, religious, etc.), I find it normal  for members to come in and out.  Some put their feet up for years becoming very active in the community but lose interest in five years or so.  Some leave because their opinions are no longer being heard because new members come in with ideas different from them.  They tire of the constant loss of not being the big chiefs any longer.  Some more on because they have just plain lost interest and it was time to move along.  Then we have members who come, read and post maybe every six months because life is keeping them so busy.

Either way boards are blessed when they become larger and have a bigger population with different perspectives.  So it can still be a win/win for everyone.

I hope to stay here for years.  I find this board filled with understanding people, people that are truly seeking answers and having a group that is struggling daily with the same issues we all do.

Thank you MH got allowing me to visit!!!

Hopefully others will find this shoutout and give us an update on their status.  There were so many kind people who welcomed me three years ago and shared their knowledge.  And they stuck around for a long time.

Elaine?  Biowham?

Red- your're right that there are many new faces here.  We're happy to have them and hope they stick around but they often get their answers and move on.

hope all of them and all of you are well,
L

I'm not an old timer, but I noticed a change when coming back after several months of off and on.  Part of that is so many new people.  There are people that I miss and don't know where they are or if they will ever come back.

I miss them!

I'm here, have been MIA for the past month or so, too exhausted.

Still in limboland, but managing the symptoms via great meds.

I'm still here too!!!  I add when I can but like you I really miss all the old timers...I hope they are doing well and I wonder about them a lot... I too hate the new lay out... It's so impersonal...

I'll be praying,
Carol

I'm still hanging around too, lol!  I try to check in often, but I mostly lurk these days.  I do try to chime in if I feel I have something useful to contribute, and sometimes will PM people about specific things.  It's impressive how big this group has become!

BTW, I have to say I'm not a big fan of the recent changes to the layout either.  Hope they fix things soon.

Bye for now,
Rita

Debbie,
I saw your post the other day and I didn't get the time to respond.  I'm so glad you took my invite to showup here and give an update.

I'm pretty sure there are others, too.  Hopefully they will see this and add onto the conversation.

Missing everyone,
L

Hey Lulu  I was thinking the same, not so long ago :)  Every morning I check my email and save my daily update only to realize the next morning that I never went back to yesterdays message and on and on and on...  I'm here :)  We had some great conversations and I always enjoyed the information and feeling like I was possibly helping someone with the knowledge I was able to put out there.  I am well...  HOW ARE YOU????  I noticed as I signed in this morning the format has changed again... I stopped bouncing in daily the last time they changed the format because with my memory issues I find change difficult... I can go to the help menu but don't remember what I read, frustrating!!!!  Hugs back to you...
Debbie
