Curious, anyone try benefits of floating?

Has anyone here tried this? If so what was the results for you? My daughter saw where one of these was coming to our area. http://blogs.discovermagazine.com/crux/2014/04/04/floating-away-the-science-of-sensory-deprivation-therapy/#.VCbiMvldWtB

Thank You Supermum_ms for posting the link. I do Not believe the float tank is for me.  I may be thinking outside the box to find something to help relieve the symptoms I am dealing with but I think I will remain outside of this box! ;) Thank You. Theresa

Personally no, my mother who's tried just about everything over the years (she has mental health issues) has said many a time, that she finds floating tanks very relaxing and often recommends it for de-stressing and relaxing general muscle aches.

Sensory deprivation tanks can cause people to experience visual hallucinations, panic attacks, and trigger claustrophobia so float tanks are not such a good idea, if those issues are already problematic.

This is a personal experience from someone with MS and a float tank.....

I've run a float center for three years; we float a dozen people every single day.  I've only ever had one person experience a panic attack from claustrophobia (something he was completely unaware of until getting in), and very, very few experience "hallucinations".   Don't believe everything you see in TV shows, and I would encourage you not to speak as if expert about something you have no personal experience with.   Floating helps people tremendously with a variety of conditions including anxiety, depression, PTSD and fibromyalgia every single day.
