Hello all, I'm doing pretty well; how often do you hear that?

My neuro says my MS is stable.  I had oral surgery November 29 and have eaten liquid or soft foods since.  Instead of gaining weight over the holidays, I've lost about 18 pounds.  I feel so much better, can fit into more of my clothes, have been going to water aerobics again, and even started back to gentle yoga last week (hadn't gone because of bad knee).  I've been listening to two self-compassion diet cds which help now & will really help when I transition back to solid foods.

My cat Beau is having urinary issues & soft stool, so I had to take him to the vet today: love my Beau boy!  Oh, funny story; Beau got a Christmas card from his kitty sitter.  His name is Beau Tyler, or Beau Ty for short.  The card was addressed to Beauty, and had sweet stuff about what a good girl she is.  I laughed so hard!  "Beau" sent her a card thanking her & telling her she might want to update her mailing list.  Said he's the handsome brown tabby that, though neutered, still shows evidence of his maleness.  It was a hoot!

Be well, all.

Kathy

Hey everybody!  How wonderful to see so many old friends!  Nice to meet you too, Kyle, and your excellent assistants.

Today is my after-Avonex day, so I'm achey and not too sharp.  I think I'll take it easy and read a book on the Kindle I got for Christmas, then bake a loaf of bread for my roommate.  Maybe take a nap.  :o)  I'll check back in later.

Hugs,

Kathy

Hi Kathy - I'm glad to hear that you are doing relatively well. Me too! I'm fairly new at this MS stuff and don't have any major issues. My biggest current challenge is how to get MS into my life mentally.

I have two very capable assistants in this effort and they can be seen in my avatar :-) Nothing helps calm me down or cheer me up like one of them jumping into my lap to say hello :-)

That's great!  I've also become more or less stable - trying to lose weight, I'm not sleeping all the time, and working my tail off!  Just hope it lasts.

Hi Kathy!  How great to hear you are doing well.  You are one of our limboland success stories - if you can call having MS a success.  You know what I mean.

I love the name for the new friend in your life - Beau Ty is a great one.

Don't be a stranger, ok?
