Swollen eyeballs, anyone?

I have had some blurry vision, off and on lately, and much pain behind my right eye...but the thing that seems so strange to me, is that my eyeball (mostly my right), feels swollen, a lot.  If I watch much TV, that seems to exacerbate it.  My hubby even put his fingers on top of my eyelids (while I closed my eyes), and he thought my right eye did feel 'larger' or puffier, than my left.  Does anyone else get this?  It is a very strange and uncomfortable sensation.  I will be seeing my opthamologist in two days.  Thank you.  Jan. (undiagnosed - being tested)

I wonder if that could be an abnormal pressure in the eye ( Pre-Glaucoma). I have had this with my eyes (mostly left) for years. I am on eye drops for Glaucoma even though I'm not officially at the level of pressure but close to it.

I have episodes of Scleritis,   most often the left,  it will hurt when I  move my eye.  I can put a cold wash cloth on it an it helps. And visit the
opthamologist  each time

take care

I did have that puffy sensation - as well as a stabbing sensation - in my left eye when I had a bout of optic neuritis. But it wasn't actually swollen, just felt that way. I'm not sure if ON would ever cause actually swelling in the eyelid as it is inflammation of the optic nerve. Perhaps swelling could be caused by excessive rubbing of the eye, if this was the response to an underlying issue like ON? Good that you are booked to see the ophtha, I've always found them to be really knowledgeable and helpful.
