That link must no longer exist? You probably didn't notice that this is an old post from early January and since that time, Tecfidera was approved. This tactic by TEVA did not work this time.
I can't find the Citizen Petition you write about. The link just takes me back to this page. Can you re-post?
So many people, including myself, have high hopes for BG-12. If Teva has such a hard time with this, maybe they need to come up with something better!
This is what TEVA does and then they beg the FDA for them to have generics sooner than another drug maker's patent expires. Or they ignore the patents and pay the fines and still make money. They have blocked Capaxone the other Copaxone for years. It is about profits for TEVA. They are for their shareholders period. They used to promise shareholders they would double their stock in so many years. They have not been as successful with orals. Copaxone is probably manufactured in India, dirt cheap. They manufacture many generics there. My generic Migrane medicine is so cheaply made it says do not break but it breaks when you open the packaging. TEVA owns hundreds of generic drug companies and only makes name brand expensive drugs for MS and cancer.
TEVA is about monopoly.

Yes JB .... funny how in some cases these capitalist entities seem so opposed to competition, which just happens to be cornerstone of capitalism. An apparent case of wanting to have one's cake and eat it too.

Drug for the Treatment of Multiple Sclerosis Unless and Until It Has Been

It boggles my mind and I also have to wonder why it was hand-delivered to the FDA on December 31 - is there a significance to the last day of the year?
I guess I'm showing my age saying " Follow the money"
( its a Watergate reference)
Companies need to make money, however competition helps make business better and stronger..
Then there is the politics of healthcare, knock out the competition no matter what.
So some days we are sheep ..
Oh well thats just my observation
take care

TEVA never even addressed the IPIR reaction - just tested it enough so that they could confirm that nobody's ever died from it.
I've wondered about Copaxone since my blood clot, which happened when I switched from Copaxone to Betaseron - the first week. And my angioedema symptoms, which were beginning to resemble antiphospholipase syndrome (until I stopped taking Copaxone.)
