Does anyone ever go blind in themiddle of the night?

Hello,

I am currently under going tests for an undiagnosed (my doctor thinks) musculoskeltal related disease or condition.

A new symptom has happened to me only about 3 times but I will wake up in the middle of the night and i wont be able to see anything.  My vision will sllllowly come back but it is gone 100%

I am currently taking percoset for extreme neck and back pain and i take adderall as needed for my job.

I wasn't sure if this happened to anyone else or if this couldbe related to the other things going on with me?  Does anyone know?

I have not had a complete loss of site, however on 3 occasions I at night after I have gone to bed, but not asleep yet, I have had a partial black area in my upper left eye.  It stayed until I feel asleep but was gone in am.

Unfortunately, my docs dismiss it and I don't have any clues about it either.

Just wanted to let you know you are not alone and say hang in there!

Sorry I am of no help.

Hey, no that did not happen to me. But You know what I feel? Darkness doesnt feel like I used to... It used to feel like an intense black... now it feels like a different intensity of black... probably with a shade of gray... or sort of  like when a TV loses its signal, u know what I mean? I also experience somethign weird at the moment I open my eyes when I wake up... I see a vein/nerve shaped structure that automatically dissapears as I blink. Not to mention the sperm swimming little structures when I look into a solid background like a white wall or the sky. I keep seeing a filled halo around lights with my left eye...this has been there for like 2 months...some days its not there. Also I keeep seeing afterimages or a trail of images that is really really quick after a fast object passes by or if someone waves a hand and stuff like that Eye pain in between eyes and in the back of the eyes... as well as swollen eyes, as if I had been in a pool with my eyes open is another symptom. But I have really had chronic symptoms relating to the eyes and body in general for a YEAR (non stop, theres not a single day that I feel normal, and the symptoms vary daily). Well I have seen 2 neuro-ophtalmologists,4 ophtalmologists, 5 neurologists and have done 4Mris of Brain, 2 Mri of spine, Visual Field, Optic Nerve tomography, etc and everything is NORMAL. They all say MS and Optic Neuritis is ruled out. So tomorrow I am going to see another neuro and see what he says...  and later in the afternoon I will go pick up a blood test for Lyme and see what happens. At this point Im starting to believe it isnt MS andt hat it might be something else like Lyme, Bartonella or some weird virus/bacteria. Does anyone with MS experience my visual symptoms?
