Update

Hi all. Haven't checked in for a while so thought I'd share some of my life's fun events.  I was shopping at Lowe's when I tripped over a box of tiles on the floor.  I went flying through the air - don't know how I managed to not shatter my hip (which is one body part I landed on) but also landed with my left arm extended out and jammed against the shelving. I couldn't move and could only sob and scream.

When I heard help was coming and don't move etc., I knew I had to try to get up. From my toes up I managed to get sort of sitting when my keft arm fell at my side. I heard a very loud scream!! I realized it was mine lol. I couldn't move my left arm. It hurt like crazy and started swelling. They got ice but couldn't help me because of the fear of law suits. Anyway - I refused the ambulance and ER treatment and had my son pick me up. Next day I went to my own Dr and had xrays etc. Nothing broken - which I alread knew. I could hear the ligament pop when it happened.  It either over extended or who knows. Its been 2 weeks and is much better. Still have pain and loss of range of motion though. Then due to over using right arm and hand - injured middle right finger. When people were shaking hands in church Sunday I recoiled in horror! What a mess I am.

Other news - my dr is gone for good now. New one is nice. I just miss Joe. Doing ok I guess - considering. Had one niece have a baby and the next week her sister got married. My daughter and son in law are moving to KC to allow Andi (my daughter) to be the new baby's (Kamrynn) nanny. Thats fun news! Andi is happy and my niece, Kay is happy - and mom and aunt me is happy! :)

Blessings to you all.

Hi and thanks. Since the fall I've had two more accidents. Almost broke a rt finger but its just jammed.  But last week - Saturday - broke my right pinky toe. Halted my life. I can't use my left arm well due to the elbow injury not being healed and so crutches are a real pain. I'm trying to do a remodel - tearing down a wall and putting in new kitchen sub floors and vinyl peel n stick planks throughout house.  This is a terrible time to be hurt - but - its why I got hurt.

I'm so weak and out of shape yet I'm trying to do things little by little and its killing me. Trying to get help from busy friends and family is so hard.

Anyway - I have a POD in my drive to hold most of my furniture while this goes on and have been waiting for volunteers from my church for 3 years! They don't fully "get" it. I just want my tiny home to function so I can have famiky and friends over. Its so cluttered and gross they can't.  So sick of being sick and tired - the old refrain.

Hope you're doing OK.  Blessings

Oh, Jan, how awful to have fallen so hard! Yow!  I hope things continue to mend well.   Unless you know of good ways to stretch and strengthen your shoulder, I'd consider asking your doc for a round of physical therapy.

Happy family news!  That's wonderful.  I love the new baby's name and spelling! :-)

Good to see you back.
