called from the car on her way to her new apt. in Butler, PA.  She said going through LAX was seamless - Lori had made a lot of advance phone calls and made sure that they had special assistance to get through ticketing and security.  

It has been a long, long time since DJ has flown anywhere and I had to laugh when she complained about how little space there was in their seats - they flew first class thanks to the help from NMSS.  I can't imagine what she would have felt like in the back of the plane where most of us get to fly!  LOL

She said she slept for a while on the flight, which was great and that the weather was good for getting across country.

She had not yet seen her apartment when we talked, but in true DJ style she said she knows it will be perfect for her.

The joy and relief in her voice was obvious and she continues to amaze all of us who know her, at how strong and determined she has been to make this happen.

That's the news from PA - I trust that will make all of you smile, I know it did for me.

Great news about DJ.  The one thing I will want to know as the seasons pass...how will she accommodate those PA winters.  I was born there and they can be numerous.  How will she handle the cold, when she is coming from a warmer climate?  Maybe she will report that she feels better with less humidity and heat.

  As always, Thanks Lulu for keeping us updated on DJ.
I know that we are all anxiously awaiting for her to get settled and see her
name pop up on a  "POST"  of her own.  

    I also want to add that the NMSS  is AWESOME!  What a wonderful
Society and all the more reason to donate as liitle or as much to
them as possible.  SO...CHEERS to DJ and the NMSS for helping her!!!!
