What Do You Do During a Relapse?

I am just curious...What do you do when you know you are having an attack?
Do you wait it out and take it easy, or do you combat it with steroids?

I am having a relapse right now and waiting for the nurse to call me and tell me she is going to start my steroid treatment.  1 gram of Solumedrol a day for 5 days.  Woo Hoo! it makes me feel awful but I have had it once before and it seemed to stop the progression of my relapse.
The relapse I had last time was not this bad.  I am losing the ability to walk this time and I am not excited about how long this will go before it starts to improve again. My doc is obviously gung ho about the steroids and this time I think he may be right. I don't want to let this relapse run its course.

I am not huge on the idea of steroids and I very interested in what some of you out there choose to do when you have a relapse.

I just had a relapse over a month ago. I waited it out for two weeks, then I said skrew this and called my neurologist for my roids. When I see that my quality of life and also my production is down that is when I choose the drugs. Seriously, We all know the roids arent good but it enhances your life (when having this) and makes you feel almost normal after the first couple of weeks. When I was younger I did wait it out because I thought that was all you could do. I would say do it, either IV or do the mega dose of (3750mg) of prednisone in a three day period. Tastes like **** and your face boats but it's worth it....hope everything pans out well for you..:)
