What Now

I have alot of symptoms of MS though I have had 2 MRI's and they showed no signs. My GP thought I had MS until the MRI's came back negative. now my GP does not know what to think.
I had asked for a test to get a test down on my nervous system and it was agreed.  In a few months I have an appointment with a Neurologist that specializes in MS.

Here are some of the symptoms that I experience, Wobbly legs, tingling of the body, numbness of legs, arms. lower extremities sometimes feel like Ive been put in cement they feel heavy , I have to look down to see if I have a lower part because I don't feel anything.
I get dizzy, nauseated, faint, my arms sometimes feel heavy and hard, I get symptoms that I might be having a stroke on my left side of my body, this
landed me in the hospital emergency turns out I did not. Though they could not make sense of anything, though they said it was a sciatic nerve , MRI's say no.

I have spasms on my buttocks this throws me up off a chair, balls of feet go numb or tingle alot. I was feeling like something was crawling on me this lasted for about a month. I feel weak alot can not seem to hold anything that weighs much,I get tired blow drying my hair sometimes, some days I can't sem to hold on to much of anything I drop things alot some days. There are more symptoms I experience all are very spontaneous can not drive much anymore I don't know what to think anymore as to whats wrong with me please help.

Has your doctor done alot of blood work?  If not you might want to ask your doctor to do blood work.  Should screen for the big mimmics (there are lists in the health pages here on this site I'm pretty sure) and just general screeing (stuff like thyroid, Complete blood count, inflamation test, antibodies).  The faint feeling and total body feeling doesn't sound like MS but I know what you are talking about. I had very bad anemia and those were a few of the things I felt. Have you had a physical?  I'd want to make sure your heart is good.

I don't have MS but I post here because at one point my symptoms pointed to MS. I finally got my correct diagnosis when blood work was done on me.

I'm actually thinking its probably not MS due to the symmetry of your sx, one of the big red flags. MS has many mimics, and there are other possibles eg lupus, lyme etc. All the mimics need to be investigated anyway because MS is still a dx of exclusion, so keep an open mind to alternate posibilities.

Cheers.........JJ

The question is did they do an MRI of your cervical spine?  MS rarely effects both the left and right arm/le equally and at the same time with brain lesions.   It is possible with spinal lesions, but symmetrical symptoms are still rare.If the the brain and spine are clear, it may be time to look for other mimics.

A neurologist would be a good choice to run through some of the testing.  EMG of the extremities, SSEP, labs, etc.

MS is very hard to diagnose. My grandmother is a MS sufferer as well.  It took the doctors a long time before she was actually diagnosed. I do know that your symptoms are early signs of MS, but is also signs of many other things as well. If i were you i would research doctors until you have found one you are comfortable with and let them look further into it. There is Medicine that works very well for MS patients if this is your future diagnosis. Your GP , altho knowledgeable, this is not his field of study, so my advice would be find a doctor who specializes in this.
