Getting my event monitor tomorrow

Hi all-
Although I have been cleared of MS, I want to keep in touch with ya'll who have been so supportive to me.
I go tomorrow to get my 30 day event monitor,  It turns out that all of my MS- like symptoms MAY be due to an atrial fibulation that is knocking tiny blood clots loose that are causing TIAs- which share many of the symptoms that are common to MS.  For the past four days, my heart has been skipping beats and causing chest pain, fluttering and shortness of breath.  A few weeks ago, it caused a bout of slurred speech and right side paralysis. In the past, I have also had a blackout and episodes of a racing heart- up to 215 bpm.  I will hopefully get some information that will lead me closer to my needle in this 8 year haystack.
I stay here are a reminder that just because it looks and smells like MS, does not mean that it IS  MS.  I was quite shocked to hear that 8 years worth of MS and neuro-like symptoms may all be linked to the electrical workings of my heart.
Many of you know what I long, strange trip this continues to be, but I am confident that an answer is quite near!
I will keep you posted.
You are all great!!!
Crystal

Wishing you luck with the 30 day monitor! I have worn them twice. You can ask if the cardiologist's office has pediatric electrode (contact) pads. Mine ordered me some pediatric pads, and had them overnighted to my home,  since my skin is so sensitive. Felt much better than the adult ones.

Crystal,
I am so glad you are being tested so quickly- if you can call 8 years quick!!!  If I'm remembering correctly you need to be sure to ask them what to do if the contact pads start to irritate your skin.  30 days of wearing them in the same place can cause a lot of itching and other dermatological stuff.  Nothing serious, but still a nuisance that can drive you buggy.

I'm glad you've come through to give an update - I hope you will continue to do so.  You have a very important message to share.

my heartfelt best,
Laura
