MissT415, You should contact your doctor and have a thorough check for that pain - the sudden onset concerns me because that can often indicate trauma to the spine. Ess is right about back pain coming for a variety of different causes. And Alex nails it too with the explanation of how we often use our muscles/balance differently and cause strain. Please don't try to tough out back pain - there are some ways to treat it, especially if it is not related to your MS.
Bairdy,
Sure hope you feel better - here's to seeing the chiropractor and getting an evaluation for the source of your pain.
Thank you for the info....I just out of nowhere last night developed unbearable back pain....today I can barely walk and dont dare try to take a deep breath. I started wondering if it could be related because of weakening muscle strength....Ive progressed to Secondary Progressive and I think Im in the midst of an eposide...again...thanks for the info

I have back problems because the MS throws my posture off. I have to work hard at exercising and correcting the imbalances the best I can to keep my back, hip, neck, and shoulder pain down.

Hi bairdy. Back problems often appear in MS, but in so many other conditions too that MS will be way down the list of possibilities. Have you seen a doctor?
