Thanks Supermum - neuro tested me for most of that already with negative results - as I said, I'm not diabetic. I don't think I have been exposed to heavy metals but will ask if I should test for this too.
Hi, a quick google search of 'burning feet' found this good article....
".....Diabetes is by far the most common cause of neuropathy in the legs. Many other conditions can cause neuropathy with a burning sensation in the feet:
Chronic kidney disease (uremia)
Vitamin deficiency (vitamin B12 and occasionally vitamin B6)
Alcohol abuse
Low thyroid hormone levels (hypothyroidism)
Lyme disease
HIV/AIDS
Amyloid polyneuropathy
Drug side effects, including chemotherapy drugs, vitamin B6 overdose, HIV medicines, isoniazid, amiodarone, metformin, and others
Heavy metal poisoning (lead, mercury, arsenic)
Vasculitis (inflammation of blood vessels)
Sarcoidosis
Guillain-Barre syndrome
Arterial disease
Edema or fluid retention
Hypertension"

Thanks for responses, Pastor Dan and Kyle. I am sorry to hear you have constant problems with burning feet, Kyle. To answer PD's questions: definitely not sunburn. They were burning nonstop in any position, from soccer game at around 2pm, and still this morning when I woke up, although were better when I actually got up. I wondered if this was a result of cooler morning air? Now at my desk, I'm feeling discomfort in my feet, although not as intense as yesterday. What else could cause this?
It's really bugging me.
I could be wrong, but I think it's more accurate to say that MS doesn't USUALLY present with bilateral symptoms. As my latest MS Specialist told me, "If we know one thing about MS, it is that each case is unique in some way."
This doesn't answer your question, though. Lots if things could possibly cause burning feeet. Is it the tops ir the bottoms of the feeet that burn? Do they burn nonstop, when you flex them, when you prop them up, when you put them in shoes or socks?
How long has it been since rhe soccer game that seems to hqve precipitated this situation? Could your feet be sunburned?
My first symptom was bilateral foot numbness. I couldn't feel either foot. It happened over 20 years ago. During my DX process 2 years ago we pieced together my history. The feet numbness thing was my initial MS relapse.
As to your burning feet, that can be neuropathic pain cause by MS. It could be lots of other things as well. But again, I'm living proof that burning feet can be related to MS. I take daily meds to ward of the burning feet :-)
