Rheumatologist visit

She thinks I might have fibromyalgia with a vitamin D deficiency. Really? Is it possible those two things could explain it all?

Oh wait, fibro, vitamin D deficiency and migraines. I think that's where this is heading. Or maybe I'm just in a bad mood for meeting with a doc that was going to run a screening test that comes up negative every time. I had to ask for the antibody tests instead of the ANA screen. She said I don't look like I have lupus. And insinuated that there is nothing wrong because my neuro exam was normal.

After a little sleep, I did realize that she asked for my neurology records to be sent down. So maybe she isn't going to write me off and will look into things further. Time will tell. Somebody, somewhere has to have the answer, right? I was ready to give up looking yesterday.

That's enough to put you in a bad mood for sure. Oh boy. Well, I dont' know what could explain what, but it is good that she's running more tests.

If she thinks nothing wrong, can you take all the results of tests thus far and mention to her you may move on to a 2nd opinion doc for review or consult? Surely she's not tested for everything and hearing this may say, sure no problem. Or, you may get lucky she'll investigate a few other avenues.

Sorry you had such a bad visit :(
