setback

OK, so I've been waiting since October to see Dr Wonderful, the new neuro...it's getting close to stinkin' June 20 (soonest I could get in way back in October). But that's okay coz it's getting close and I am spasming, buzzing, vibrating, not tolerating any heat whatsoever; all sorts of goofy little vibrations, non-existant wet spots. So it'll show, right?  WRONG...I come home from work today to see a letter form the doc that they had to push my appt to the END of JULY!!!! All I can say is after waiting 9+ months, he'd better wash my car and ring my bell too!

Am I allowed to give up yet? Truly, I've done my time. I'm tired. I just feel in my gut there's not an answer coming. Can I just hang around with you guys and be supportive? I promise I'll try to be funny and everything...

I am so sorry you have to wait even longer!!

Heck you could have had a baby in the time this is taking!  I would be just as upset as you are for the delay.  You have been suffering for so long without answers or relief from your symptoms.  Hang in there and I will be praying thatit either flies by or someone cancels and you get in early!

Hugs!

This must be like the Chinese Water Torture for you!  Arggh!  Another month+, when you've been waiting since last Fall.  Heck! I've been waiting for this for you!  Now I'm disappointed.  Do you have a good PCP who you can go to for interim relief and new symptoms?

Believe it or not, I've been on his cancelation list since October! I guess when you wait that long for an appt. you just don't cancel!

In the grand scheme of things I feel silly calling this a set back. There are worse things that could happen. I was just getting so close to the appt and it seemed my symptoms would be alive and kickin (so to speak, lol)...thought I might just get an answer. Now I'm in a bit of a pity party. I'll get over it.

Sometimes its hard to keep your fight up. Then I feel like a weenie coz I fancy myself a tough cookie. Kicking myself for having a brief cry about it earlier. Some tough cookie!

I drowned my sorrow in online poker...and I did win the tourney tonight!!! Lots of fake money!

Thanks for listening

Quix has the right idea honey! ha ha

I can certainly understand why this would totally p*** you off and I agree that when you do finally get to see him, he had better make it worth your while!

It's bad enough that you have to feel this way but when you have to wait to see someone and you know what sort of track record we all have even if we do see someone...this had better be some friggin fantastic doctor you have been waiting to see.  You make sure you take YOUR time with him and use it as though you are his only patient honey.

So sorry to hear about you having to do all this waiting especially when you are a mass of active symptoms!  Personally, I would call and ask to be put on his cancellation list...a lot of these specialists do have one but they don't advertise this fact and you don't get your name on it unless you call yourself and ask...what do you have to lose honey, ya gotta wait till July anyway, give it a try.

Lots of Hugs,

Rena

I love that!  Cracks me up!

We have friends who share a very close wedding anniversary with us.  Two weeks apart.  When we celebrate together each year, we have said something very similar to what you've posted.  True LOVE....

And a bottle of fine wine.

WOW.  You could have served jail time or a minor felony in 9+ months and been out by now!  Like -- for hurting him!!

I just have a feeling he'll be worth it.  My prayers are with you.  And your Spazapalooza will be, too.  Don't worry.  He'll see it!

Love and hugs,
