Bouncing Legs

I have a strange thing for the last few days but not sure if it is the Oxy but it doesn't show as a side effect when I checked the side effects online or in the printout from the Pharmacist..

When I lift either leg but mostly the left leg and put it straight out in front of me then try to lower it, it bounces all over the place and it is really impossible to control!  This is when I am sitting on a chair or the couch and it is really weird...any thoughts out there?

I get this sort of muscle shaking in almost every part of my body - it's really bad when I rotate my arms or raise my legs up while sitting like you said...

Yeah, my hubby just sort of looks at me sideways as if I am totally nuts!  The thing I worry about is that I have, no I should say my foot has kicked the dog a couple of times and she is shying away from me!  I can't stop it though...I was lying on the love seat last night and she was curled up below where my feet were on the floor and I went to lower my right leg to the floor to try and relieve some pain and it just started bouncing and came down on her head...BOIIIINNNNGGGG!!!  Poor little thing looked at me like I beat her but I just startled her cause she was sleeping.

Ok You can laugh at it but seriously I CAN'T STOP IT and it's getting scary and worse!

Mine happens when my leg is extended straight out lying on a recliner and I try to bend my toes (there is no weight placed on the leg). I've also had it when my toes are on the floor from how Jen describes and I've had it when trying to stand or sit (if my leg is bent at the knee it shakes.

It's very annoying. I laugh it off to, but my husband doesn't think it's funny. He just says that's not right.

Yeah, I have that as well with my feet on the floor and it drives me nuts but this is different in that if I lift my foot off the floor in front of me and then lower it, my foot bounces around all over the place. Even this morning when I got out of bed, I went to put my feet on the floor and it was impossible to control them and just put them down...it's like they have to do a little dance.

I know that asking my gp will be useless...I asked her about the double vision last week and she said "I don't know what it is" and moved on to another subject.

Like I said to Chris earlier "do I have to move to another planet to find a doctor that can work on what the problems are and not just ignore them?"  That's the way I feel.

What, where you have your toes on the floor, and your heel up in the air, and you're supporting your leg with your calf muscles, right?

I think Rena's talking about having the leg out and extended.  I haven't had that happen yet, but I have had the situation that Heather described.  I had a habit of sitting that way, until my leg started doing that on a regular basis.  Had to retrain myself to put my feet on the floor.

I have experienced this.  If your toes are bent without your heel on the floor and your leg shakes up and down, I was told by my Neurologist that this is a very common symptom of a neurolgoical nature, such as MS.  It's a very weird sensation, since you cannot stop it, unless you place your whole foot on the floor, flat.

Are you having muscle spasms in your legs? Do they feel tight? Sounds like maybe your having some type of clonus in your legs. It's just a guess though. My legs will shake rhythmicly when I try to bend my toes. I can't control them. It was deep in the tendon. Mine I think is due to muscle spasms in my legs.

Gee honey...are you sure you should drive?  I have given up driving completely due to eye problems, muscle spasms, pain problems.  I have to admit I miss my Mustang but I just don't think it's worth the chance of hurting someone due to my disability.

I wish I could help. I have not experienced that. I can barely drive and there is no way that I can sit with just my toes on the floor, because my legs began shaking and I can't get them to stop. I just laugh my off especially when driving because you know the person behind me is trying to figure out why I can  not make up my mind as to what speed to drive.
