Getting Sick

I have recently come down w/some kind of respiratory illness and am wondering if you veterans have any advice about being sick during a "flare". (I am undiagnosed)

I went ahead and sucked it up and went to work (while two others called in sick) and am paying for it now.  I have almost lost my voice and am getting chills and running @ 100 degree fever.  I ache all over (ha-still more so on the left side).  I know temperature regulation is important, anything else?

Today I was getting really dizzy and sick to my stomach--(hoping that was a medication side effect).

I am thinking about calling in sick tomorrow--normally I don't call in sick and just tough it out but because of all that my body is going through I wonder if it is going to be more difficult to bounce back if I keep working while sick??

Hi,

Reckon you should call in sick if you possibly can and if your workplace could possibly do without you.  You are not doing yourself any favors by not giving yourself a chance to recover.  ALso you may be spreading your bug to people who are fortunate enough not to have it already.

Being sick during MS can cause a flare up.

Take care. Let us know how you do.

WHATEVER YOU HAVE IS GOING AROUND. I HAVE A REALLY SICK CHILD RIGHT NOW.  YOU SOUND LIKE YOU HAVE WHAT SHE HAS. SHE HAS BEEN IN BED FOR THE PAST TWO DAYS AND CAN'T KEEP MUCH OF ANYTHING DOWN.

IT HAS BEEN GOOD FOR ME TO HAVE TO DO MY "NORMAL" MOTHERLY THINGS IN THE MIDDLE OF DEALING WITH MY MS DX. IT HAS SHOWN ME THAT NOTHING MUCH IS GOING TO CHANGE.....

SO SORRY YOU ARE SICK THOUGH!!
