hi...

Hope everyone is well. I just wanted to give an update. I had my first Tysabri infusion this morning and I experienced no side effects so far at all. Over the last 2 months I have had some improvment. I still have all my symptoms but they're less intense. So here's hoping for the best. Hoping this medication works at seriously slowing this beast way down.

How are things with everyone? I truly hope everyone has been well or well as can be expected. I'm learning now about the ups and downs and the good days and bad days. I'm learning my limitations and to be unafraid. Slowly I'm understanding that.

I know a lot of MSers who do well with tysabri. I really hope it does slow the beast down.

An update. Hope all is well. Tysabri has done its job. No new lesions, some small improvements on existing ones but, for two weeks after infusion I get woozy and feel like I'm swaying on a tightrope. Then I'll be better. I really hope this goes away. I have had 6 infusions and this month has been really bad. Don't know what to make of this. I hope everyone else is well.

Hi,
So glad you've got the first infusion done and I hope you are still doing ok.
I'm a newbie too  (i think the similar time to you.....july this year)  waiting on the treatment when I finally get to see the specialist.  Doctor has started giving me medication thankfully, So at least I'm on my way.
It hasn't properly sunk in yet that it's happening but I am trying to stay positive.
I hope that you stay ok whilst having the infusions, take care & stay well.

Thanks Corrie.

Today, day 4,  I'm feeling tired but okay. I hope it passes by tomorrow morning.

Of course paranoid me doesn't want to take anything because of the liver damage risk. I did take Naproxan yesterday but will only take it if I really need it.

I had my 18th or so tysabri infusion on tuesday. This medication has been a godsend to me and I haven't had a relapse since starting it(knock on wood).

I have also adjusted to my new normal and am a lot more comfortable with everything. It has been a long hard road for sure.

I hope the Tysabri works wonders for you as well. The first couple of infusions made me exhausted for a week or two but that does pass.

All the best,
Barn

Hi shel -

I'm glad to hear that your first Tysabri infusion went well. I had 20 incident free infusions :-) I'm also glad to hear that you are finding your new normal.
