Hi shell: yeah I have had Lhemerittes before & I must say it is most uncomfortable. I am getting a massage tomorrow to see if it will help the spasms in my back. It often relieves them for a short period of time. I wish we could have rock hunted in Tahiti but we did more shell finding there! We travel for the winter and do our rock collecting then. This year we did quite a bit more than last so I have a feeling its from that-I got really tired at times and this years weather was strange. We had drastic changes in hot/cold within a few days even tho we were in the SW of the states. It is really nice to be home where I know what to expect and can kind of take it easy. My husband cut some of the agate we got in NM yesterday and it is beautiful. He makes the cabochons and I make the jewelry so we have our summer work cut out for us. thanx for the response and its nice to be back. steph
Uh, add an "L" to that hermites -
Welcome back.
Keep us posted on what the Dr. says about this. Sounds like hermittes w/you neck flexing and the tingling - hope it's not a flare for you.
I'm not sure about the meds affect. My thoughts are that they won't help if it's MS related. But will help w/your issues from rock hunting - rock hunting! Oh, my - in Tahiti no less! Sounds very exciting!
See you around,
shell
Hi; its really good to be home again after 6 months of travelling even though it isn't as hard as you would think. Jerry is such a wonderful man, we feel like we can share everything so that really helps. Tahiti was absolutely marvelous and for both of us was the trip of a lifetime. We both agreed it was the best time we each have ever had. We stayed at small B&B's which meant staying with familiies who just adopted us and treated us so well. The polynesian people, despite being french (mostly) are so loving. We stayed in small bungalows on the water that didn't cost us a fortune. Of course we saved a lot of $ that way and enjoyed the ambiance of their way of life. We learned so much about the culture by not staying at a big resort. We even ate fresh yellowfin tuna sushi that I said I would never eat...and it was delicious.
The bending and lifting of rockhunting is probably what has aggravated my back but the spasms just won't go away. I get so impatient and yes they interrupt my sleep too . I have found the most comfy position is in our large recliner with a pillow behind my upper back. Thank goodness I have good books to read. We have only been home 3 days so today I am being the ultimate toad and not doing anymore unloading of the RV or laundry. I look out the windows and groan at the yard work but its still too cold to work out there so I can ignore that.
I guess what I worry about is that my back will not heal or that the AVM I have there will suddenly go boom and down I go again...things I can't do much about but a worry wart I have always been. At least I now have someone wonderful to help me unload my worries! If you would like to see where we went check out Jerry's web site and my blog I kept-I have one more post to finish it. It is ***@****/stephblog. I'll keep in touch...steph
Hi - how was Tahiti? It probably feels like a distant memory, doesn't it?
I'm glad you aare seeing the neuro next week and you can discuss this with the professional.
Your post especially caught my eye because I suspect that T-spine lesions are palying with my sleep patterns but can't quite prove it, yet!
Rock hunting - that's a serious work out with the bending and lifting. Throw in the arthritis and tendonitis and your pains could be just about anything .....
I hope you'll stay in touch - and that the wedding bliss is still alive and well with you and the hubby,
Lulu
