Well, my GP doesn't seem concerned. He wants me to start taking iron supplements and keep an eye on my periods. He said my head and neck muscles don't seem too bad and that he thinks my head issue might be connected to last month's cold and that sinus rinsing might help.
Still feeling off today and seem to have that jello feeling in my arms and legs. He thinks that my stress at work might be an issue too so I got the spiel about trying to balance my energy levels and not overdoing it.
I guess we'll see if the iron and sinus rinse will help and take it from there. Since I have noticed increased OT at work I will try to address that in a way that does not tick my boss off. :-)
Cheers,
Corrie
I haven't had this exact symptom but have certainly had to describe more than one odd symptom with no exact name. I believe one time I had to describe the feeling of my brain being shaken from side to side :) I think doctors are pretty used to weird descriptions.
Hopefully it is something simple.
Good luck,
Laura
Thanks Dennis! It is such a weird feeling so I hope this is an iron issue and not a new relapse. I've gone from feeling odd to being completely exhausted in the last few hours so maybe a good night's sleep will help. I wonder if there is a blood related issue since you are noticing similar things with your blood thinner. Definitely food for thought.
Thanks! I am hoping it isn't MS related and I never drink enough water so I will try that. My vision seems ok for the most part but that seems to be my new normal. We will see what the doc says tomorrow.
Corrie,
One other thought that I just had. You mentioned having more than normal menstruation cycles. I wonder if that could have effected the iron levels in your blood (anemic) and could be causing this. I kind of wonder about this being the same thing in my case as I started on a blood thinner about 2 months ago.

Corrie,
What you are describing sounds a lot like what I have been feeling for several weeks now. I have been calling it that it feels like I am falling. More specifically falling to one side (left). It isn't constant, but does seem to be related to head movement. My BP has been my normal value (slightly elevated), no fever, or anything else I can put my finger on.
I have kind of chalked this up to something visual since it is some times triggered by movement on a screen (computer or TV) without any head movement.
Dennis
I know exactly what you mean. This is part of what I was experiencing when my neuro told me it was occipital neuralgia. I had pain on one side only going to eye. Also had weird sensation of being pulled to one side as if would lose balance. Hope that helps, I think what you 're describing is similar. Just in case maybe try hydrating too.
