I felt really pretty good for quite a while then...bang! Last month I had a major exacerbation, soluMedrol IV, and that only helped a little bit. I think also, this horrendous heat has had something to do with it. Mystersterious definitely defines MS. Personal, does too. No 2 people have MS exactly the same way.
Hi MCB and welcome to our little corner of the internet. This is a great place to hang out and ask quesitons like this.
Why? you ask. The name of what most of us has is Relapsing-Remitting. Sometimes we are in a relapse and other times it is in remission. We can feel pretty darn good when we are in remission.
Our bodies are pretty miraculous how they can heal themselves, and the body is constantly working to repair the damage that our MS has caused. That can help for the remission periods.
Depending on your symptoms, the weather/seasons can also be a factor. I think almost everyone is suffering this summer thanks to this unrelenting heat. We could use a break from 90 degrees. Are you heat sensitive? I definitely am.
It is one MySterious disease - there often is no rhyme or reason to our R-R patterns.
Anyway, I'm glad you found us and I hope you will stick around and eventually share your story as well as your questions and thoughts.
be well, Lulu
Hi,
I know exactly what you are saying. I always feel pretty good in the fall and winter months, but then when spring and summer come "bang" everything breaks loose.
Although if I get a cold or flu in the winter, I do get some exacerbations with these.
It is strange isn't it? Nobody else, but all of us understand it.....
bye..
