numbness

Have any of you that experiance complete limb numbness had it come and go?  A couple of days ago, my left leg went completely numb and at the same time, my left arm felt like it had been shot up with a large dose of novacaine.  It was mostly numb, but a little tingly.  I hobbled to my bed and after an hour and a half feeling returned to both limbs.  My left arm has done that two more times, but not for as long.  I've had issues with my arms and legs "falling asleep" easily, but was assurred that the RLS medication, the Gabapentin for pain and the beta blocker I'm on for cardioneuropathy should all help with that.  It's a bit scary.

Oh, and as a side note, I called my new neuro's office yet again just now.  They looked up my records and told me that my blood work all came back "perfectly fine" and that the lady that has never returned my calls will be calling me and scheduling my MRI.

I just wanted to answer b/c I appreciate so much when forum members answer my questions about 'does anyone else feel ..." Sometimes I wonder if I'm the only one feeling a certain thing--or if I'm just losing it. Anyway, I have had the numbness that you're explaining. I was sitting watching a movie with my hands in my lap and my left arm started to tingle and within a few minutes was totally numb. i could barely lift it on it;s own power. I went to bed and woke up and it was still numb, but now the left foot was numb too. I hobbled around on my totally dead asleep foot for three days before it came back. Now, weeks later--two toes on my foot and my thumb and index finger on my habd are still of and on numb. They also twitch unvoluntarily. My neuro feels like this is a possibvle MS symptom--I'm in the wait and see boat. Good luck to you--
