ouch, right sided neck pain today

right where you feel pulse. It's went away when I took a nap but it's back, and my heat pack on it made it worse, so that's not helping. It's just a small radious of about 2 inches on the right side and when you press where it is painful you can feel my pulse, so it's right in that area. OUCHIE! Is this a spasm or something? It's new to me!

PS I also got a really bad head-ache along about the same time this popped up, and if I push on it my head hurts worse. Odd.

Julie, yes, I'm quite glad it's gone, I don't think it's connected to a virus... becuse it seemed to come and go with my pounding head-ache, which seemed to get better when I laid down to rest, or sleep at night. :)

Shell, hmmm. I wasn't "wallering about" during my nap... grins, and the pain had come in the morning and had actually left when I laid down for my nap, seemed like the rest helped it, and my head-ache. But that was a funny explanation.

Wonko, I hope your neck pain goes away as well, it isn't much fun when it hurts there, now is it! :)

I get a weird pain going up and down my neck.  I won't notice it, but then when I go to turn my head, it can feel like there is a rod in my neck.  Weird, eh?  Now that I suspect that I have Lyme, I can just blame it all on my bugs!

It sounds like you had more of a sensitive region on your neck, not going through it.  Glad it went away, whatever it was.

Hi Sunny-B,

Yikes! Maybe it's a muscle? Not so sure. If the heat makes it worse, try ice-pack.  If you have some sort of inflamed or tweaked muscle it needs ice 1st. Sometimes if something gets tweaked and makes your nerves jerky, heat will make it so much worse.

Can you take anti-inflammatories? Incase it comes back.....

Maybe you were wallering around during that nap...lol...just kidding.  I would say to my kids when their cousins were visiting before they went to bed, now don't be "floundering" around in here - get some rest! My sister-in-law who is from WV would say with her long draw, "yea, don't you be 'wallering' around in here." LOL!

So, no wallering, or floundering around for you -k?

((hugs))

So glad to hear the symptoms are gone today.  When I read your post yesterday, I thought, "hey, I had that today too".  I wonder if it could have been related to a virus.  There are a lot of youcky stuff going around right now.  Regardless, I am happy your bout of whatever happened is over for now and hope it stays away.

Have a good day today, pain free!

Julie

It's gone now today... along with that pulsing head-ache. I think my BP was acting up, if I sat down and held still my head didn't pulse so bad and my BP dropped but if I moved around it slammed so bad it was definetly topping out the charts there. Not sure why, but I was happy that it left after I laid down for while...
So, no worries!!
