seizures

My whole diagnosis started with a seizure.  Now everyday whenever I feel different, I am afraid that I am going to have another seizure.  I have read and heard from others that when you have your first seizure as an adult, chances are you will never have another one.  I take medication for this twice a day, so I tell myself that I am OK and don't worry about another one.  Sometimes during each day I just feel "yuck"-- nothing specific, I feel tired, and like my body is being pushed down by weights.  If I keep my mind busy and keep moving, I am OK. Anyone else ever have these experiences?  Please let me know that this is normal and I will get used to these feelings.

I still have my lumbar puncture to go in 2 weeks--my neuro said that will be the final to diagnose. I was having tingling in the lower right jaw/tongue area which progressed to numbness within 2 days.  I went to quick care and when talking to the doctor, I had a seizure.  I only remember talking to the doctor, then waking up in an ambulance.  In the hospital the MRI showed MS lesions, CAT scan and EEG were negative. I don't remember much of the hospital stay, or the week afterwards.  This is still very new to me, so I have a lot of mixed feelings going on too--along with physical symptoms.

Hi Mommie,
Welcome to the forum - I'm thinking we have not yet crossed paths here. Can you back up and give us a bit of your history?  You're dx'd with MS, correct?  Do you know what type?

As for the seizures, I hesitate to comment on those because I'm not a doctor and not well versed on them at all.  I'm trying to remember if we have other members here who also have seizures.  I don't think it is very common with MS ....

my best,
Lulu
